A CALL TO CROATIANS AT HOME AND AROUND THE WORLD
Fiery Heart
Let us honour the fallen Croatian defenders. Together, let us build a unique register of remembrance that will sail.
Part by part, name by name: Croatia and its diaspora are building modern Neretva boats, CNC-cut and joined with epoxy resin, each with its own colour and name.
MUSICAL PROLOGUE · PUBLISHED WITH PERMISSION
Three songs. One message.
Love, faith and unity accompany the story of the boats of remembrance. Choose a song — playback starts only when you ask it to.
Audio never starts automatically. Volume, pause and resume controls are available.
We are not only building a boat.
We are safeguarding every name.
The project connects Neretva boatbuilding heritage, dignified remembrance of Croatian defenders and modern digital manufacturing. Every real component receives a digital record and, once produced, a protected engraving in wood.

A name in wood.
A trace through time.
A rib carries the verified name of a fallen Croatian defender and the donor’s name. The keel, stems and planking carry the donor’s name. CNC engraving is coloured and sealed under a protective epoxy layer.
People we remember
Search the current working list and see the city boat rib assigned to each name. New verified sources can be added later. A project assignment is not a claim about residence or place of death.
A boat for a city.
A boat for an island.
A boat that connects the world.
Show all 78 island names
Show all 524 islet names
Donations support the entire fleet programme, not only the first three active boats in the selector. Islands and islets are listed separately, but together they form an impressive fund of 602 island names for future boats. Duplicate place names and location labels will be checked before the register is locked.
A CALL TO THE DIASPORA
Far from Croatia.
Never far from home.
Croatian communities abroad stood by the homeland in its hardest years. This project invites families, organisations and individuals to unite knowledge, trust and resources for remembrance, heritage and a sustainable future on the Neretva.

From secret action
to public creation.
According to the Association’s records, the Croatian Special Sabotage Unit was founded on 29 August 1988 in memory of the late Frane Poljak. The Association states that it disbanded on 23 December 1991, after conditions had been created for Croatian police and armed forces, and that its members integrated into civilian, military and police structures.
The Association testifies that before and at the beginning of the Homeland War its strongest, and often only lasting, support came from the Catholic Church, led by Peter’s successor, then Pope Saint John Paul II, and from church communities. This remembrance does not imply official Church support for today’s project.
FAITH, GRATITUDE AND PEACE
Prayer for the fallen, their families and peace belongs to the project’s spiritual dimension. Participation by church leaders and performers will be announced only after written confirmation and the necessary music rights.
Honorary membership
The plaque may state “Honorary Member of the Croatian Special Sabotage Unit in Peace”. Formal membership begins only after a decision by the Association body competent under its Statute and entry in the membership register.

Croatian women and men at home and around the world — let us turn gratitude, prayer and unity into a real part of the boat. Choose a rib, stem or plank, preserve a name and help return the boat to the Neretva.
